What is Agencies Role?
Simply share with adoptive families they can start an Adoption Fundraiser with Our Beautiful Family.
Once fundraising is underway, your Agency may receive donations from Our Beautiful Family asking that funds be applied to the Families Adoption Expenses.
Does an Adoptive Family need our permission to start an Adoption Fundraiser?
Any adoptive family can start an Adoption Fundraiser and Our Beautiful Family will verify their adoption status. Fundraising activities do not flow through the Adoption Agency.
Is there a cost for using Our Beautiful Family for Adoption Fundraising?
Our Beautiful Family deducts 5% of funds raised to cover the cost of payment processing, grant disbursement, and organizational administration. Donors are given the opportunity to cover those processing fees, or you can add that percentage to your overall fundraising goal.
There is not cost to Adoption Agencies for referring Our Beautiful Family to Adoptive Families.
What expenses are considered to be “qualified adoption related”?
Qualified adoption-related expenses are the necessary expenses incurred by the family for the adoption of an eligible child.
These expenses typically include:
- Adoption fees: This includes any fees paid to an adoption agency, attorney, or other individuals facilitating the adoption process.
- Court costs: Expenses related to court proceedings, including filing fees and legal representation costs.
- Travel expenses: Transportation, meals, and lodging expenses incurred while traveling to meet the child, attend court hearings, or complete other adoption-related activities.
- Re-adoption expenses: If the adoption is finalized in a foreign country and re-adoption is required in the taxpayer’s home country, expenses related to the re-adoption process may be considered qualified.
- Other expenses: Other necessary expenses directly related to the legal adoption of the child, such as home study fees, immigration expenses (if applicable), and counseling fees.
